The Lamellae architectural and optical art-pieces was made in a limited edition of only 50 pieces and was inspired by the Hadid's Wangling Soho building in China.

This exceptional cuff was carefully crafted in solid .925/.999 sterling silver with the entire surfaces finished with very high polish and satin brushed creating an optical illusion.

The overall measures are 140.25 mm by 76.2 mm x 82.55 mm (5.5 x 3 x 3.25 Inches).

Stamped, with the maker's mark, the serial numbers and signed, "ZAHA HADID GEORG JENSEN .925S S/M 623A".

Zaha Hadid, Born in Iraq in 1950, Hadid studied at the Architectural Association in London using photocopiers and papers in innovative ways, before computers aided her designs. She was the first woman to win the Pritzker and was also the first woman awarded the Royal Gold Medal by the Royal Institute of British Architects.

She had achieved international prominence as one of the world’s foremost architects and designers when she died unexpectedly in March 2016. A thoroughly contemporary thinker and designer, her creative vision was defined by vital, flowing forms and an unmistakably bold presence. She studied mathematics at the American University of Beirut, then moved to London to study architecture in the 1970s, and in 1979 established the practice that bears her name. In her career, she designed sports stadiums, theatres, opera-houses, art galleries, shoes and a car, among other objects. The Zaha Hadid Collection for Georg Jensen was her first collaboration with the Danish design house. “Working with Georg Jensen presented an opportunity to express our ideas in different scales and through different media. Our starting point was the many links to nature at Georg Jensen,”

Note: These limited edition of 50 pieces is already closed and finished. Was originally retailed in the 2016 for 13,500 euros.

It is in perfect brand new condition and is accompanied by the designer's fitted jewelry box. A masterpiece of art and great addition to any jewelry collection.
