Beautiful and rare pieces, created in New York city by Jean Schlumberger at the Tiffany Studios, back in the 1960's-1970's. This suite of flames earrings were carefully crafted as a mirrored pair in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with accents in white gold for the diamonds settings. They are suited with posts for pierced ears and omega backs for fastening clips.
Mounted with a pave setting, composed by 44 Calibrated round brilliant cut diamonds, 1.76 carats, F color, VS-2 clarity
They have a combined of 25.95 weight of Grams and a measures of 35 mm by 25 mm (1.38 x 1 Inches).
Both are stamped, with the maker's mark, the gold assay hallmarks and signed, "TIFFANY & CO .750 SCHLUMBERGER".
In 1956 the president of tiffany & co. Walter Hovin asked Jean Schlumberger to begin designing for the firm. He had his own workshop at the company until his retirement in the late 1970's and was eventually made vice president of the company. Schlumberger design's at tiffany were remarkable for their whimsical interpretation of natural forms. He was especially inspired by the sea creatures and others animals. He was an exceptional designer, jeweler and a master enameller.
They are in perfect condition and are accompanied by the designer's jewelry box
