Dangle drops earrings with blue turquoises.

Beautiful modernist pair of dangle drops earrings, created during the mid-century period, back in the 1960. They was carefully crafted with a gorgeous Cuscús pattern in solid yellow gold of 14 karats and finished with textured and polished surfaces. Fitted at the reverse, with posts for pierced ears (Removable) and comfortable hinged French omega backs for fastening clips.

Turquoises: Mounted in four-prongs settings; with a pair of pear cabochons cut (19 x 23 x 6 mm) of 38.22 carats and a pair of round cabochon cuts (8 x 8 x 6 mm) of 5.60 carats of natural sleeping beauty blue turquoises.

Weight: Combined of 44.95 Grams (28.81 Dwt).

Measurements: 65 mm by 29 mm (2.56 x 1.14 Inches).

Hallmarks: They are both stamped with the maker's mark, the gold assay mark and signed, "N. 14KT".

Sleeping Beauty turquoise is noted for its solid, light blue color with no matrix. The host rock is granite and this mine was one of the largest in North America. Since the early 1970s, this mine was a major producer of turquoise. Artisans and jewelry companies love Sleeping Beauty Turquoise for its lack of matrix and reliable even color. This mine is still active and currently produces copper. The Sleeping Beauty turquoise mine was named after the mountain range where it is located, which from a distance is said to resemble a sleeping woman with her arms crossed. Increased government regulations and mining costs led to the mine's closure in 2012.

Collateral: They are accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.

Condition: The overall condition of these earrings are excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The turquoises are perfectly secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
