Geometric earrings designed by Edouard Richard for Chaumet.

Beautiful geometric clips earrings, created in Paris France at the atelier of Édouard Richard, for the jewelry house of Chaumet back in the early 1970. These gorgeous three dimensional pieces has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with textured finish. They are suited with comfortable French omega backs for fastening clips and the posts option for pierced ears can be easily added if need it.

Gemstones: Bezel set with 24 round flat cut elements of 8 mm carved from natural Hungarian green malachite with a weight of about 20 carats.

Weight: 24.9 Grams, (15.96 Dwt).

Measurements: The diameter is 30 mm (1.18 Inches).

Hallmarks: Both are stamped with French marks; the eagle's head for the assay and warranty of the 18kt gold, the maker's maitre cartouche ER with a cat associated to Édouard Richard, the unique serial numbers, the place of origin and signed, "CHAUMET ER FRANCE 18KT 345011M".

Chaumet, was founded by the French born jeweler, Marie-Etienne Ninot. He began his career as an assistant court-jeweler to the queen Marie Antoinette. In 1780, he moved to Paris and founded the house of Chaumet, and was appointed as jeweler to emperor Napoleon in 1802. During this period, Ninot became one of the most popular jewelers in Europe, establishing a loyal and continuous prestigious clientele. today the house remains as a luxury jewelry house under the name Chaumet Paris.

Note: The jewelry atelier of Édouard Richard was also responsible of many jewelry works created for the Parisian houses of Van Cleef & Arpels, Chaumet and Hermes in Paris.
