ALDO CIPULLO 1972 Playful As Hearted Clips-On Earrings In Solid 18Kt Yellow Gold
Pair of clips-on earrings designed by Aldo Cipullo (1936-1984).
These are an elegant pair of clips-on earrings created in New York City by the iconic jewelry designer Aldo Cipullo, back in 1972. The heart's shaped earrings have been carefully crafted in solid 18 karats yellow gold with high polished finish. They are fitted at the reverse with comfortable hinged French omega backs for fastening clips and the addition of gold posts for pierced ears can be easily done on special request.
In a standard deck of playing cards, the heart symbol (♥) represents one of the four suits, the others being diamonds, spades, and clubs. The heart suit is typically colored red and is associated with concepts like love, emotion, and the human soul. In the game of Hearts, the heart suit takes on a specific, negative value, as players try to avoid taking tricks containing heart cards.

Aldo Cipullo
He was an Italian born jeweler. He born and was raised in a family of designers with jewelry traditions, his father was the owner of a jewelry factory and his brother Renato Cipullo made jewelry designs for Christian Dior. Aldo, was the creator of the popular and iconic Cartier bracelets, love and the nail, still until today considered ones of the best designs of the 20th century. He works as a designer in New York, for David Webb (1960-1969) and Cartier (1969-1975). In 1975 he found his own company as a freelance designer.
